Hi from Anthony and Jodie! We are the Learners and Makers. Traveling the world full time since 2022, we empower families and people with mobility disabilities to travel confidently, their way. A big goal for us in 2025? Learn to scuba dive. Water recreation is a big love for our family. For Jodie as amputee who uses a prosthetic leg, water sports also are easier for her mobility. We enjoy being on the water, after all. Why not get under the surface? Earlier this year, we worked with an amazing adaptive diving training team, Kids Scuba, in Malaysia. Accessible Journeys, a disability travel magazine from Australia, just published an article about our experience and why diving can be a great activity for people with various disabilities. Adaptive diving programs open a sea of opportunityWhen you have a disability, what’s it like to go through dive training?
The carry-on backpack that’s survived 3 years of full-time travelAfter 3 years of full-time travel, we thought it was a good idea to check over our his-and-hers Cotopaxi Allpa 35L travel backpacks. From Malaysia to Mexico to Morocco, we've stashed them in overhead compartments on planes, tucked them between our feet on buses, and tetrised them into car trunks. The verdict? Both packs show minimal wear and function as well as day one. The Allpas distribute weight evenly, which is crucial for Jodie's comfort and endurance when walking with her prosthetic leg. The discreet tech compartments keep our laptops secure and protected. We love how the main clamshell-style opening gives us quick access and efficient organization. If you're shopping for a reliable travel backpack, for yourself or as a gift, Cotopaxi’s Allpa line offers sizes from 28L to 42L to match different travel styles:

Our family of four is back in the USA for a couple of months. Along with the holiday season, it’s prosthetics season for Jodie. This week has one of our favorite times of year: Thanksgiving. Our plans include a special dinner with Anthony’s family. We haven’t had access to ovens for the past year and a...
Hi from Anthony and Jodie! We are the Learners and Makers. Traveling the world full time since 2022, we empower families and people with mobility disabilities to travel confidently, their way. While our family gets ready for an epic travel day, Jodie and I realized something: Most travelers do it backward. They invest in expensive checked luggage, then grab whatever cheap backpack fits under the seat. Throughout our 3 years of full-time family travel, we've flipped that approach. Our Cotopaxi...
