Hi from Anthony and Jodie! We are the Learners and Makers. Here is our latest email sharing tips, deals & news about cozy, family & mobility travel. We lived in Oregon for over 15 years. Early in our relationship, one of our first trips away was a weekend in Pacific City. Family or friends visiting? A jaunt to the Coast was on the itinerary. When Connor and Aster each were babies, big moments in their lives included getting their toes dipped in the Atlantic Ocean at South Carolina, and in the Pacific Ocean near Florence, Oregon. Throughout our time in Oregon, visiting the Coast has been one of our favorite activities. Personally, fall is one of our favorite times to visit. The sky gets moodier. Surf gets rougher. Waves get bigger. Sometimes our fall visits were for clear, crisp days when we could walk along the beach. But the Oregon Coast shines, so to speak, on cloudy and stormy days too, when there is nothing like watching huge waves crash against the intriguing rock formations up and down the coast, especially the Southern Coast. 7 can’t-miss sea stacks you can see only on the Southern Oregon CoastImpressive sea stacks of all sizes dot many of the 363 miles of the Oregon Coast. You can take in impressive formations along the Northern and Central parts of the Oregon Coast. However, the hidden secret of this amazing place is that many of the best stack rocks are found on the Southern Coast, from Bandon to Brookings.

An enclosed beach and a lighthouse overhead are just the beginning of why we love it so much.

Hi from Anthony and Jodie! We are the Learners and Makers. Traveling the world full time since 2022, we empower families and people with mobility disabilities to travel confidently, their way. Right about this time, two years ago in 2024, we were in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Fortunately, we weren't treading water. We were on a cruise ship. But that cruise wasn't some round-trip loop-da-loop like you often get for, say, a trip to Alaska, or around the Caribbean. Instead, we'd flown into...
Hi from Anthony and Jodie! We are the Learners and Makers. Traveling the world full time since 2022, we empower families and the mobility disability community to travel confidently, their way. Traveling the world as a family of four, we often seek out vacation rentals instead of hotel rooms. Since we aren't just sightseeing but living regular life, albeit in different countries, staying in rentals gives us more space. Plus, we typically can find stays in regular, everyday neighborhoods. That...
Hi from Anthony and Jodie! We are the Learners and Makers. Our family of four has been traveling full time since 2022. Recently, we were chatting with someone at an event, and I happened to notice her upper arm. “A daruma tattoo!” She was delighted that we recognized what it was—and knew the significance. The daruma is a sort of good luck charm in Japan. The round figure is mostly a big face, but there are no eyes. You make a wish or set a goal, color in one eye, then when your wish comes...
