Hi from Anthony and Jodie! We are the Learners and Makers. Traveling the world full time since 2022, we empower families and people with mobility disabilities to travel confidently, their way. We’ve appreciated waterfalls all over the world. So it is with no undue consideration, that from our thoroughly biased opinions, we assert that the USA’s Pacific Northwest has some of the best, most easily accessed waterfalls in the entire freaking world. In Oregon alone, there’s Multnomah Falls east of Portland, the ten falls at Silver Falls State Park outside of Silverton, and Sahalie Falls along the McKenzie River. But in Oregon’s Coast Range, just a little east of Florence, is one of our family’s favorite waterfall hikes: Sweet Creek Falls. It’s about 2 miles round trip, and a steady streamside hike takes you past dozens of small and medium falls. Even though we no longer live in Oregon, we realize how much living there made us appreciate the little things, like a perfect strawberry, and the big things, like a tumbling, curving, cascading waterfall. Sweet Creek Falls Trail, Oregon: Waterfall hikes with kidsOfficially there are 11 falls, but don’t be surprised if you count 25 or 30… or lose count altogether.

Hi from Anthony and Jodie! We are the Learners and Makers. Traveling the world full time since 2022, we empower families and people with mobility disabilities to travel confidently, their way. Hello from Poland! Our family is in Gdansk, on the Baltic Coast, the finale for our 2026 Baltic Summer. We’re still savoring the gnocchi-style potato dumplings, mushroom sauce, and seared wild boar from the walking food tour we took throughout the pedestrian Old Town last night. Spending more time in...
Hi from Anthony and Jodie! We are the Learners and Makers. Traveling the world full time since 2022, we empower families and people with mobility disabilities to travel confidently, their way. Greetings from Warsaw, Poland! We are on the last legs of our Baltic Summer tour of Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland—but our thoughts this week are turning somewhere else. A couple of summers ago, we were seeking a place to break up a bigger road trip. With many plans afoot for Illinois,...
Hi from Anthony and Jodie! We are the Learners and Makers. Traveling the world full time since 2022, we empower families and people with mobility disabilities to travel confidently, their way. When you travel full time, you also plan travel full time. That’s a reality we’ve gotten used to over the almost-four-years that we’ve been traveling as a family. Day trips, a sightseeing afternoon, a weekend away, where we might find a vacation rental for a month’s stay in a new-to-us country: that’s...
